Designing & Operating a Radiological Security Architecture

 

 

"Experience the Architecture"
Put theory into practice. Design, deploy and operate a complete radiological security architecture.

Description

This immersive workshop brings together all the concepts presented throughout the Defense & Security sessions, transforming architectural principles, operational planning and situational awareness into a realistic tabletop exercise.

Participants become members of a multi-agency security planning team responsible for protecting a major international sporting event hosted in a fictional country. The unexpected visit of a Head of State significantly increases the complexity of the mission and requires the design of a comprehensive, layered radiological security architecture.

Using a large fictional city map together with capability cards, operational resource cards and realistic mission scenarios, participants progressively build their security strategy as the event approaches. They determine which infrastructures must be protected, which operational capabilities are required, how resources should be deployed and how multiple agencies cooperate throughout the preparation phase.

Once the protection architecture has been established, unexpected incidents challenge the participants to adapt their strategy in real time, redeploy available resources and coordinate the operational response while maintaining mission continuity.

The workshop concludes in the exhibition area, where participants validate their architectural decisions through live demonstrations of the Mirion technologies capable of delivering each operational capability discussed during the exercise.

Rather than learning about individual products, participants experience the complete decision-making process followed by security planners—from mission analysis and capability selection to operational deployment, incident response and technology implementation.
